indigidesign challenge

IndigiDesign Challenge is a partnership between JamX and Indigifriends (IFA) to host events specifically for IFA alumni and mentees.

These events aim to foster innovation for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities & THE LAND through community-driven, “hackathon-style” collaboration.

We are currently co-designing a fully virtual, remote service design hackathon in January 2025.

The purpose of the event is to:

• Explore innovations for First Nations, Inuit & Metis Communities and the Land.  

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and idea generation through structured group work, supported by guest speakers and mentor guidance.

• Increase alumni and mentee experience in developing collaborative skills such as effective communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and the ability to work well with others to achieve a common goal.

• Improve alumni and mentee business & technological acumen.

• Foster alumni and mentee growth in public speaking capabilities.

• Give participants project experience that can be used toward building their portfolios.
